Box Jelly Pulse: Box Jelly Pulse was miffed to be called a beach crasher after innocently arriving at the resort's sundowner.

Box Jelly Pulse is my newest wall sculpture, and the first to use the quatrefoil format, five shaped ply tiles where each must hold its own while serving the larger composition. The tension between hard geometry and gestural brushwork is a push and pull that keeps the work alive and the viewer looking.

Found a piece that you love, but not sure how it’ll look in your home? I’m happy help. Simply send me a photo of your wall, and I’ll superimpose the painting to help you envision how it will fit.
Andrea Birtwistle, WellingtonI have two of Kirsty Black's pieces, purchased a few years apart, and I love how they reflect her evolving style. The fabulous colours and whimsical names of each artwork reflect Kirsty's personality on canvas perfectly.
Phil & Clare Matthews, Kapiti CoastKirsty's work is joyous and accomplished. Her use of colour and mark making to tell a story in her painting is masterful. Her work is most definitely something you want on your wall. We are loving our painting of some years. It is timeless and beautiful and still thrills us when we look at it.
Michelle, SydneyThe paintings travelled well, thanks largely to their amazing bomb proof packaging. We have many more public places for them and they look amazing, colourful, fresh and interesting. We both love them.
Kim, AucklandI now have 4 artworks of yours, all located in the house entrance/ stairs. I love the vibrancy and colour they bring to the space - everyone that sees them loves these works too!

Come and see where the art happens. My studio is in Maraetai, Auckland. Just make an appointment or call ahead and I'll put the coffee on. My work is also available online and through selected New Zealand galleries if you can't make the trip.
